Intercultural Learning and Global Engagement (ILGE)
Emphasizing the importance of developing intercultural competencies of students, as well as of teachers and staff, Intercultural Learning through Global Engagement brings together theorists, practitioners, and researchers in the area of intercultural learning. The purpose of this initiative is to identify intercultural learning resources and best practices within Higher Education Institutions to support each other efforts in equipping future generations with skills for living and working in a globalized world while also applying those skills in a local context.

Short films on how students and staff perceive intercultural learning were shown, and in designated workshop sessions future directions and activities of interest were discussed. The group are now pursuing advancement of intercultural/global competence in the form of an ILGE week of events in 2020.
