The INU Nursing Leadership Collaborative, comprised of leaders in nursing education from INU member institutions, has been discussing collaborative ways to address the use of best practices in nursing education and research that ultimately affect the good health of our global citizenry. As one of its first initiatives, the INU Nursing Leadership Collaborative is organizing an eight-day workshop, Patient Safety – Quality Care, which will engage faculty and students in discussing patient safety and providing quality care from a cross-cultural perspective. The group intends to hold a planning meeting at James Madison University in January 2017 and will invite an expert in patient safety to consult on program development. The workshop Patient Safety-Quality Care will be held concurrently with the Global Citizenship and Peace programs at Hiroshima University.
