INU is delighted to announce the theme of the 2025 Student Seminar as “Nuclear Disarmament and Non-Proliferation’. 

The International Student Seminar for Global Citizenship and Peace is INU’s flagship program for students is hosted by Hiroshima University Japan and coincides with the 6th August commemoration of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima in 1945.  In 2025, it will be the 80th anniversary of the atomic bombing, and to mark this, the student seminar theme will focus on the threat and consequences of the use of nuclear weapons, the role of international organisations such as the United Nations in the prevention of their use, and the complexity of global and regional geopolitics in achieving peace in the world today.
