INU is delighted to share the news that Paloma Rivera from Universidad Nacional del Litoral, Argentina has been awarded the Henry Fong Award 2023 which recognizes an outstanding student within the INU network who exemplifies a person committed to the concept of global citizenship. Paloma plans to use the award of £1,700 to participate in the Summer School at European University Viadrina, Germany on “The European system of human rights protection”  in July 2024.

When informed of the news, Paloma commented “It is an absolute privilege to be selected for this prestigious award and I am extremely thankful for this opportunity, as it will play a pivotal role in my professional career. The course at Viadrina will definitely be the perfect complement to my academic training, as it will allow me to develop new perspectives and ideas and acquire innovative tools to reflect and act on social and sustainable development. I would like to thank, from the bottom of my heart, to the INU panel for selecting my application.”

INU would like to thank all the other applicants who had applied for the Henry Fong award.  The quality of the reflective essays were highly impressive, making it a difficult decision.
