Student Seminar for Global Citizenship and Peace 2019, The Health of Democracy @ Hiroshima University
Aug 3 – Aug 12 all-day

In 2019, the INU programme on Global Citizenship and Peace will examine democracy and its health in the globalised world.

The concept of democracy lies at the core of the United Nations values and principles. It is embedded (implicitly) in the Charter of the United Nations through the reference to ‘We the Peoples’ and through the legal frameworks that govern the working of the UN.

The programme will explore critically different types of actions pursued by the UN and by other international organisations for the promotion and consolidation of democracy around the world.
