“Empowering Youth and Local Voices for Human-Centric, Sustainable and Inclusive Smart Cities”

INU is delighted to announce that applications for 11th International Student Conference, delivered by Parahyangan Catholic University in Indonesia are now open for 2024! The theme is on “Empowering Youth and Local Voices for Human-Centric, Sustainable and Inclusive Smart Cities”.
International Student Conference (ISC) is an annual event that acts as a platform for international students from all over the world held by Parahyangan Catholic University in Indonesia which combines class-based activities in the form of workshops and lectures and field-based activities in the form of site visit and cultural activities. This year’s ISC will be held at Parahyangan Catholic University’s campus and will include lectures and workshops with the aim of achieving more sustainable and inclusive cities for everyone. Skill development workshops such as content creating and design thinking are also expected as part of the program, alongside opportunities to experience Indonesian cultural activities.
The main objective of this conference is to amplify the impact of youth-led initiatives and work closely with local communities to unlock the potential of cities as hubs for sustainable solutions.
Students
Students INU member universities are invited to apply to attend, with a deadline of 15th November 2023 (Early bird discount deadline is 15th October 2023). Please contact the International Office at your home university or INU Coordinator, for further information on how to apply.
Staff
A call for expressions of interest from Workshop Speakers at INU member universities has also been announced.
There are 3 core themes where speakers are required:.
- Human-Centric Solutions: Building Smarter Cities with Socioeconomic Inclusivity and Sustainability Beyond Technology
- Connecting Minds, Building Communities: Pioneering Local Initiatives and Fostering Local Government Involvement
- Unlocking the Power of Individuals: Engaging Youth in Building Sustainable Cities through Innovation and Collaboration
In addition to the 3 themes, a keynote speaker is also required to give a framework for our participants about our conference theme “Empowering Youth and Local Voices for Human-Centric, Sustainable and Inclusive Smart Cities”.
Potential speakers are asked to please consult with your INU Council member at your home university for further information and guidance.
The deadline for expressions of interest from speakers is 9 October 2023. Please note, we can only accept expressions of interest which are submitted via INU Council members.
