The International Student Conference is now open for applications from both students and speakers at INU member universities.
Programme dates and location
ISC 2027 will take place from 25–30 January 2027 in Bandung and Jakarta, Indonesia.
We are planning international participants’ arrival on 24 January 2027, with airport pick-up arrangements from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK), Jakarta. As the programme concludes on 30 January, we recommend planning departure for 31 January, although we can discuss individual travel arrangements with participants.

Our 2027 theme is: Powering the Future: Youth Driving Innovation for Sustainable and Inclusive Energy Futures
The programme explores three interconnected themes:
- Energy and Me: Understanding the Hidden Energy Behind Everyday Life
- People and Energy Futures: Connecting Global Goals with Local Realities
- Indonesia as an Energy Living Lab: Community, Innovation, and Circular Futures
Students will learn that energy is not simply about technology or electricity generation. It is also about how we live, the choices we make, and how communities experience the opportunities and challenges of energy transitions. The programme will include interactive keynote lectures, interdisciplinary workshops, engagement with UN Indonesia, and experiential learning through site visits.
One of the highlights will be a visit to PT Geo Dipa Energi’s Patuha geothermal site, where students will explore Indonesia’s renewable energy development first hand. We are also planning community-based learning activities focused on waste management, circular economy practices, and local sustainability initiatives.
The conference will conclude with our Youth Energy Living Lab Challenge, where international teams will develop and pitch practical ideas responding to challenges they have encountered throughout the programme. We hope this will be particularly appealing to students from different academic disciplines, as the conference brings together technology, sustainability, international development, social innovation, and community perspectives.
- Student participation fees for INU students
The published registration fees are:
- Early Bird: USD 450 per student
- Regular: USD 470 per student
The registration fee includes accommodation, breakfast and lunch, airport pick-up from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, inland transportation during the programme, and cultural visit tickets.

The Early Bird deadline is 18 October 2026, with the discounted fee of USD 450.
The regular registration deadline is 30 November 2026.
