The INU Joint Master's Program in
Global Citizenship and Peace

The International Network of Universities (INU) recognises that internationalization is vital to the development of students’ knowledge of leadership, citizenship and cross cultural understanding which have become essential skills in our global society. Through innovative program development, the INU has established a Joint Master’s Program in Global Citizenship and Peace at seven of its ten member institutions.

The INU Joint Master’s Program in Global Citizenship and Peace is unique in many ways.  A core component is the compulsory Master’s Summer School held at Hiroshima University. The purpose of the Summer School is to enrich the INU Master’s Program in Global Citizenship and Peace by creating a learning environment that integrates both cultural and academic elements allowing students to reflect on the nature of conflict and peace and drawing on the experience of Hiroshima and its unique place in history.

Another feature of the Program is the possibility to an optional exchange semester at one of the partner universities. Additionally, students can diversify their degree by selecting from a range of research areas that could include: International Relations, Human Rights, Peace, Immigration and Development.  Finally, all courses are instructed in English allowing easier mobility of students and unit availability across the network.

Participating universities: University of Leicester, Malmö University, Hiroshima University, Ritsumekan University, Kyung Hee University, Flinders University and La Trobe University.

Courses available within the INU Joint Master Program on Global Citizenship and Peace.
