Through the Special Interest Groups staff members can link with their peers across INU member universities in specific areas of interest. The Special Interest Groups provide a good platform for sharing of best practice across the Network. The current Special Interest Groups are:
The Special Interest Groups can work together with other committees/groups within the Network. A cooperation between the Librarians Special Interest Group and the Academic Committtee solved the issue of distribution of Course Literature for the Master’s Summer School 2010. As different countries have different copy right laws, it was a great advantage that the members of the Librarians Special Interest Group could mobilize and provide the students at their respective universities with the required readings. The Librarians Special Interest Group has also used the opportunity to meet and share best practice through the Staff Shadowing Program.
