Generous donations to the International Network of Universities allows the Network to fulfill its mission of encouraging global understanding and cooperation between universities and citizens in countries with different economic circumstances.
Dr Henry Fong Yun-Wah, is a prominent Hong Kong business leader and philanthropist who holds an Honorary Doctor of Letters from La Trobe University, Australia. He is widely respected and admired for his success in business and for his support of education and culture.
Through this donation the network can annually give an Award to an INU university student, who has participated in the Student Seminar on Global Citizenship and Peace. The Award is comprised of a scholarship to study at undergraduate level for a maximum of one semester in the theme of Global Citizenship at another INU university, and a stipend to support travel costs and living expenses. Proceeds from the donation also support other collaborative activities within the INU network.
